HyFlex Equipment in Classrooms

Table of Contents:

HyFlex rooms are outfitted with technology that allows for remote instruction and lecture capture. Each HyFlex room has a pan/tilt/zoom camera

and a microphone (with ClearTouch the microphone is located in the soundbar beneath ClearTouch)

connected to the main computer in the room, which can be used with Zoom or Panopto.

Projecting from Laptop or Desktop PC

Prior to logging into Zoom or Panopto, you'll need to select whether you're using a laptop or desktop PC. The shelf beneath the podium contains an Extron switcher labeled CAMERA.

Note: There might not be a switch box in every classroom. If there isn't one you will still be able to use the camera and mic with the PC in the room.

  • If you're using a laptop, select LAPTOP.
    • While using a laptop, connect the HDMI cable labeled HDMI and USB cable labeled LAPTOP from the podium to your laptop
