Enter and approve vacation, sick, holiday, work hours, and more in Timesheets.
1. Log into myHill
2. Select Employee Profile and under My Activities select Enter Time. (You can also reach this on the myHill home page by selecting "Timehseet".)
3. On this page you will see your position(s) and a dropdown menu for Month or Pay Period. Select Pay Period and then click on Start Timesheet.

Note: If you have already opened the timesheet, the Start Timesheet label will change to say In Progress. Click on the In Progress label to open a timesheet that has been previously opened.
4. Highlight the date by clicking on its designated box. Then select the appropriate Earn Code from the dropdown. Enter your time in hours. You can also view your leave balances by clicking on Leave Balances in the top right corner.
a. If you are an employee who clocks time in and out, you will click on a day, enter the time worked, and add a comment.
5. There are 3 buttons on the right of your entered hours for editing or copying information. They are Edit, Copy, and Delete.
6. Once you have entered your time click Save at the bottom of the page. You may return to the timesheet later to add more time.
7. Once you are finished entering all your time for the two-week pay period, you can submit your timecard by clicking Preview.
8. Now you will see a Return or Submit button at the bottom. All the details about this time sheet will also be visible for your review. Review your summarized timesheet for accuracy. Select Return to go back to the previous page and edit your time or select Submit to send it to your approver.
9. Note: You can view a history of your time entered in previous pay periods, either by month or by pay period, by using the dropdown menu at the top right of the screen and then selecting the time frame that you would like to look at.
1. Click on Approvals to view all employees that you are authorized to approve.
2. The first screen will show you the status of those timesheets. Take note of the dropdown menus at the top. These dropdowns can be used to narrow your view. For example, a user who approves more than one department can choose which they want to display.
3. Click on an individual’s name to view the employee’s time on the Preview screen.
4. At the bottom of the Preview screen you can select:
Return - This brings you back to the previous screen.
Details - This shows the timesheet view and allows you to view an employee’s leave balance.
Return for Correction - This sends the timesheet back to the employee for correction.
Approve - This approves the timesheet.
5. Select Details for the timesheet view. This is also where an approver can make edits if necessary
6. You can now see leave balances by clicking on Leave Balances in the top right corner.
7. Once you have reviewed the timesheet details and verified leave balances, select Preview and then select Approve.
8. If you wish to approve multiple employees, you may select Return to go back to your first timesheet approval screen, check the box for Pending, then Approve all your timesheets at once. From this screen, you may also check the box next to an employee’s name you wish to approve. This should only be done if you have already reviewed and verified the time entered on the timesheets
