Meehan 103 is a team-based learning hall with 124 tiered seats, three video projectors, two monitors, and multiple wireless microphones. To learn more about using the technology in this room, select from the list below.
System Start-up
Begin by finding the touch screen control panel on the instructor podium, and touch anywhere on the screen to start.
Display the Instructor's PC
To display the screen from the instructor's PC on the podium, please:
- Turn on the desktop computer located on the podium.
- Select the Instructor PC button on the touch panel to power the projector and project the image from the instructor's PC to the video projection screen.
Display the instructor's Laptop from the Podium
To display the screen from your laptop, please:
- Connect your laptop to the HDMI cable on the podium and turn on your laptop.
- Select the Instructor Laptop button on the touch panel to power the projector and project the image from the instructor's laptop to the video projection screen.
Display the Instructor's Laptop from the Wall
To display the screen from your laptop connected to the wall panel, please:
- Connect your HDMI cable to your laptop and the wall panel, then turn on your laptop.
- Select the Wall Laptop button on the touch panel to power the projector and project the image from your laptop connected to the wall to the video projection screen.
Room Volume Control
To adjust the volume in the room:
- Make sure the volume is raised on the Instructor's PC or Instructor's Laptop, depending on your input.
- Locate the Program Volume controls on the touch screen [1].
- Touch the volume up button [2] to raise the volume, touch the volume down button [3] to lower the volume, and touch the Mute button [4] to mute all computer audio in the room.
Microphone Controls
To adjust the Microphone Volume Output in the room:
- Locate the Speech Volume controls on the touch screen [1].
- Touch the volume up button [2] to raise the volume, touch the volume down button [3] to lower the volume, and touch the Mute button [4] to mute all microphone audio in the room.
Display Control
The Display Controls allow you to turn each projector on or off manually or mute each one's image. You can also turn each monitor on the floor on or off.
- Press on the Display Controls icon [1] on the TouchScreen.
- The Display Controls will appear on the TouchScreen.
- All three projectors and the left and right floor monitors are turned on by default. If you have turned any off on this screen, tap the On button [2] to power the projector/monitor back on.
- Use the Off buttons [3] to turn off any projector or monitor.
- Use the Mute Image buttons [4] to mute the image on each projector.
Lighting Controls
The Lighting Controls allow you to control the lights in Meehan 103 from the TouchScreen on the podium.
- Press on the Lights icon [1] on the TouchScreen.
- The Lighting Controls will appear on the TouchScreen.
- Choose from the options on the TouchScreen to control the room lighting.
- All On [1] will turn all the lights to total luminosity.
- Presentation [2] will dim the lights to a luminosity suitable for using the projectors.
- Dim [3] will dim the lights.
- All Off [4] will turn all of the lights off.
Shade Controls
The Shade Controls allow you to control the shades in Meehan 103 from the TouchScreen on the podium.
- Press on the Shades icon [1] on the TouchScreen.
- The Shade Controls will appear on the TouchScreen.
- You can control the shades by pressing the Up button [1], the Down button [2], or the Half button [3].

Camera Controls
To control the camera in Meehan 103 for use in such applications as Zoom or Panopto:
- Press and hold the Advanced Settings icon [1] in the top-right corner on the TouchScreen display.
- The Advanced Settings [2} available will display across the bottom of the TouchScreen.
- Notice how the Advance Settings icon is now an X [3]. Press this X to close Advanced Mode.
- Press on the Camera icon [4] to enter the Camera Controls.
- On the Camera Controls screen, use the Arrow Buttons [5] to tilt and pan the camera at the back of the room. Use the - button [6] to Zoom Out and the + button [7] to Zoom In. The Preset buttons [8] have three presets for the camera position.
System Shutdown
At the end of your class or presentation, please turn the video projector off by doing the following:
- Touch the Shut Down button.
- Touch the Yes button to confirm the system shutdown.
