Science Center Touch Panel Instructions

This article contains the following information on using the Touch Panel controls in Shields Science Center:

• Turn the Video Projector On
• Display from the Podium Desktop Computer
• Display from a Laptop Computer
• Control the Room Volume
• Turn the Video Projector Off

Turn the Video Projector On

1. On the wall, near the podium, touch the screen to start the video projector.

Display from the Podium Desktop Computer

1. Turn on the podium desktop computer.
2. Select Instructor PC to display the podium desktop image on the screen.

Display from a Laptop Computer

1. Connect your laptop with the HDMI cable at the podium and turn on your laptop.
2. On the touch screen, select the Instructor Laptop. 
   
3. Your laptop image will be displayed on the screen.

Control the Room Volume

To adjust the volume in the room: 

1. Make sure the volume is raised on the Instructor's PC or Instructor's Laptop, depending on your input. 
    
2. Locate the Program Value controls on the touch panel [1].
   
3. Touch the volume up button [2] to raise the volume, touch the volume down button [3] to lower the volume, and touch the Mute button [4] to mute all computer audio in the room.

Turn the Video Projector Off

1. Shut down the system by pressing the Shutdown button in the lower right corner of the panel.
   
    
2. On the Projector screen, select the Off button, and the projector will power off.
