Windows Hello lets you sign in to your Stonehill-owned work computer with a PIN, fingerprint or face scan, instead of your password.

Why is this better?

• Automatically works as a passkey. Having Windows Hello on your Stonehill work computer means you don't need your smartphone to log into your Stonehill account when using that computer.
• Faster, easier sign-in. Log on with a short PIN, fingerprint press, or a glance at the camera instead of typing a long password.
• Tied to your computer. Your PIN only works on the computer where you set it up. Someone who learns it can’t use it anywhere else.
• Password changes don’t affect it. If you change your Stonehill password, your PIN stays the same.

​​​​​As a new employee

1. Sign in to your new Stonehill computer for the first time with your password.
2. Follow the setup steps below.

1. A prompt will ask you to use Windows Hello with your account. Select OK to begin.
    

3. Approve the sign-in with your Stonehill account if prompted.
4. If your specific device model supports fingerprint and/or face scan, you will be prompted to set those up too. You may choose whichever method you prefer.

Signing in with Windows Hello

Once configured, at the sign-in screen, you can enter your PIN or use your fingerprint or face to sign in, instead of your password. If Windows asks for your password instead, select Sign-in options and then the PIN, fingerprint or face icon.

1. At the sign-in screen, select I forgot my PIN.
2. Use your Stonehill passkey to log in with your Stonehill account.
3. Enter a new PIN and confirm it.
