Changing Your Password on a College Computer on Campus

Summary

If you need to change your password and are on campus, follow these steps to change your password on a college computer.

Body

Please make sure the computer you are on is plugged into an active Ethernet port before following the steps below. Scroll down for macOS instructions.

Windows

If you know your password:

  1. Login to the Stonehill College network with your Stonehill username and password.
  2. Press CTRL/ALT and Delete (while holding CTRL and ALT keys down and press the Delete key).
  3. Click on Change a Password.
  4. Type your current password in the Old Password field.
  5. Type a new password into the New password field, and type it again into the Confirm password field.
  6. Click the OK button.

If you don't know your password:

On any lab or classroom computer take the following steps.

  1. At the login screen, click Reset password.

     
  2. This will launch a secure browser over the login page to validate your security method and assist you with your Office 365 password change:

macOS

  1. From the Apple menu, choose System Preferences.
  2. Click on the Users & Groups icon.
  3. Highlight your account and select the Change Password button.
  4. Type your current password in the Old Password field.
  5. Type a new password into the New password field, and type it again into the Verify field to confirm.
  6. Click the Change Password button to finish.
