Summary
The One Button Studio provides students, faculty, and staff with easy-to-use video recording equipment for self-service recordings related to academic work. The studio can be booked by faculty, staff, and students for a variety of purposes, including class assignments, practicing presentations and capturing lectures for viewing online.

Reserving the One Button Studio
- You must first reserve the One Button Studio by selecting a date and time using the following resource- https://libcal.stonehill.edu/reserve/msb
Set up the Recording
- Make sure you have a USB Flash Drive to save your video recording. A USB flash drive with a minimum of 4 gigabytes of space and high read/write speed is recommended for quality recording.
- Press the Display On button to activate the Camera, Lights, Shades, and Monitors.
- Select the Room PC if you are presenting with the TV monitor. If using your Laptop connect it via the HDMI cable and then select Laptop.
- Choose between Camera Preset 1 and Camera Preset 2 for your preferred camera positioning.
- Note: You can make adjustments to the zoom and positioning of the camera with the remote if needed.
- Plug your USB flash drive into the record panel.
- Note: the flash drive needs to be formatted either NTFS or Fat32, exFat is not currently supported.
Start and Stop the Recording
- Press the Record button to start the recording. The record button will blink while starting up and will turn a solid red when ready to record.
- When finished press the Stop button. Wait 10 seconds before removing the USB stick.
- The recording will appear as a .mp4 file in a folder on your USB stick.
- When done press the Display Off button and make sure the door is locked when you leave.
Note: we would recommend doing a short test recording with your flash drive first to make sure all is working as expected.
