What is Office 365 ProPlus?

Microsoft’s Office 365 platform includes Office 365 ProPlus, which allows Stonehill students and employees to install full versions of Microsoft Office on up to five Windows or Mac devices, and up to five iOS, Android, or Windows Phone devices.

What applications are included in the different versions of Microsoft Office?

Login to office365.stonehill.edu, and select Settings > Office 365 > Software to get a listing of what is available for your computer.

How do I install Microsoft office on my device?

Please see the Office Personal Installs category on our Knowledge Base for more information on installing Microsoft Office on your device.

Can I install Microsoft Office on Stonehill-owned machines?

IT will continue to provide our standard installation of Office 2013 for Windows computers.  Individuals with College-owned Mac computers may follow the instructions in our Knowledge Base to Install Office 2016 for Mac.

What happens to my Microsoft Office software when I leave Stonehill?

Your Office 365 account is deactivated when you either graduate or are no longer an employee, at which time, any of your Microsoft Office installations on personal devices will go into “reduced functionality” mode. In this mode, you will only be able to read documents, not create or edit them.

We also recommend that prior to your Office 365 account is deactivated, you migrate any data in your OneDrive for Business to another location.
