Uploading a Photo to Your Hill ID

Taking a Photo

  1. Using a device with a webcam/camera, visit the link in the Instructions to Submit Your Hill ID Photo email (new community members should have received it from Campus Police). If prompted sign in with your Stonehill credentials. 
     
  2. Scroll down until you see your image through your camera, you should see the outline of a head and shoulders, line up your camera so you are framed by the outlines. 
    Note: The site may ask you for permission to use camera, hit Allow to continue.

     
  3. Make sure your eyes are open, you’re not wearing a hat, sunglasses, or headphones. Look straight ahead and click on the camera icon to take a photo, once you take your photo you’ll receive a message that the image is being processed, this can take a short while, be patient while it cleans up the background, resizes and adjusts the zoom.
     
  4. If a photo meets the guidelines, you will see a green APPROVED text above your image. 
    • If you see a green PENDINGyou can continue regardless. 
    • If you see an orange PENDING, that means your photo won’t automatically be approved. You should upload alternate photos until you get an APPROVED or PENDING photo. 
    • If your photo does not meet the guidelines, you will see a red DENIED text above your image and the requirements list will explain what’s wrong with the photo. You should upload alternate photos until you get an APPROVED or PENDING photo.
       
  5. Once you’ve taken or uploaded an approved photo, you’re almost done. You need to upload a government ID photo to complete the process. We ask for a Government ID to confirm your identity, but that photo won’t be saved after verification.

Uploading a Photo

  1. Visit the link in the Instructions to Submit Your Hill ID Photo email (new community members should have received it from Campus Police). If prompted, sign in with your Stonehill credentials.
     
  2. Scroll down until you see the camera, select the toggle on the bottom to switch the mode to Upload. Then select anywhere on the black box to upload the photo. 
     
  3. Select a photo you’d like to use. Once you submit a photo you’ll receive a message that the image is being processed. This can take a short while, so be patient while it cleans up the background, resizes, and adjusts the zoom.

     
  4. If a photo meets the guidelines, you will see a green APPROVED text above your image. 
    • If you see a green PENDINGyou can continue regardless.

Uploading a Government ID 

  1. Once you click Next, you’ll be asked to upload your government ID. To upload a photo of your government ID, tap or click anywhere on the dark box. You’ll have the option to choose from your photo library if you already have a good photo, or Take Photo if you want to use your camera to take a photo of your ID. 

     
  2. Once your government ID photo is uploaded, you’ll see your photo ID, a photo of your government ID, and the option to SUBMIT & SIGN OUT, which completes the process.

You should then receive an email from Campus Police, directing you to Hill ID Services site. Visit How to View Your Stonehill Hill ID and Download it to Wallet for instructions on downloading your ID to your wallet.
