Pulse VPN Client Setup on Windows

Follow these instructions to download and install the Pulse Client, which allows you to connect to the Stonehill College VPN. 

  1. On your Windows computer, launch the Microsoft Edge web browser.
    1. Click on the Search icon and type in "edge" to bring up the app icon for selection.

  2. In the browser type in access.stonehill.edu and log in with your Stonehill username and password (i.e. Username example: mknight@stonehill.edu)
    1. .Once logged in, click Start.

  3. There will be an attempt to search for the application launcher. Since you know that the application launcher is not installed, you could skip the wait and click the Download button.

  4. If you did not choose the Download button while the site was attempting to search for the application, the request will time out after 60 seconds and state the launcher is not installed. Click the Download button.

  5. The Pulse Secure App Launcher will download to your Edge Downloads location.  To find the Downloads section, select the three dots ( … ) in the upper right-hand corner of your browser and select Downloads from the list.  The box below will show up, select open file and install Launcher

  6. Once the file has been installed you will see the following message in the center of the page: Pulse Secure Application Launcher has been installed successfully. Click the OK button.

  7. Select Click HERE at the bottom of the page to proceed.

  8. The launcher scan page will now detect the launcher. Click the Open button.

  9. You will be prompted 4 times asking if you want to allow the app to make changes to your device.  Answer Yes all 4 times.
     
  10. Once completed you will see the icon in the systray.

  11. Your browser will return to the Pulse Secure page, you can close the browser.

  12. The Pulse Client has now been installed.
