Present Mode for Live Polling and Quizzes

Capture the attention of your class and audience with Present Mode in Microsoft Forms. These new live presentation capabilities offer a new way to share your forms or quizzes in any online or in-person event.  Audiences can participate in live surveys and view real-time responses with a QR scan or short URL.

Permission Control

Present mode will respect the permission settings at the forms/quiz level but we suggest selecting “Anyone can respond” if you have an external audience or want to capture the most data. Switching to the other two permission modes will require respondents to sign-in to a Microsoft account.

  1. Click on the three dots [1] in the top-right corner of the Microsoft Forms page and select Settings [2] from the menu.

    2. In the Who can fill out this form section [3], make sure the Anyone can respond radio button [4] is selected.
    3. In the Options for responses section [5], check off Accept responses [6], Hide Submit another response, and Allow respondents to save their responses [8].

  3. Once they complete and Submit the Microsoft Form, the results of each individual submission are displayed on the screen.

Please note:

All students/attendees must submit their Microsoft Form before their results are displayed. Forms will not display real-time results as you move through each question. The Form must be submitted.
