Installing the FortiClient on a Mac

Installing FortiClient 

1. From one of the following approved browsers: Chrome, Safari, or Netscape.  open a browser and navigate to vpn.stonehill.edu.

2. You will be prompted to log in with your Stonehill email address and password and be required to complete a multi-factor login.

3. Select Mac from the drop down menu.

4. From here, the client will download, click open file from downloads

5. Go to your Downloads folder and run the installer, it is called FortiClientInstaller.

6. Select Open on the installer warning.

7. Select Continue on the next two screens:

8. Select the Agree button for the License agreement.

9. Select the Install button.

10. Select the Allow to add FortiTray.

11. The client has been installed and is ready to configure the client for connection.

Connection Configuration 

1. Navigate to Applications and click on the FortiClient icon.

2. Check the box next to the acknowledgement agreement for the software and click I accept

3. Click Configure VPN.

4. From here you will configure the VPN connection. On the field labeled Connection Name enter Stonehill-VPN. On the field labeled Remote Gateway enter vpn.stonehill.edu. Check the box next to Customize port and enter 443. Check the box next to Enable Single Sign ON (SSO) for VPN Tunnel, then select Save. The client is now configured for Stonehill's VPN.
