ArcGIS is available for certain Environmental Sciences courses. Your instructor will need to request that you be granted a license to sign in and use the software.
1. Once access has been given, you will recieve an email inviting you to join Stonehill's ArcGIS Organization. Click the link in the email and sign in with your Stonehill username and Password. Note: the link to activate will expire 14 days after it is sent.

2. Click the Create and account using Stonehill College

3. You will be brought to the Stonehill ArcGIS homepage.

4. Access the various GIS tools from the App Launcher button:

5. ArcGIS Pro can also be installed on Windows computers. Click your Username and then My Settings:

6. Click Licenses from the left-hand menu. Find ArcGIS Pro in the list and click Download ArcGIS

7. Click Download:

8. Access the installer from your browser's download shortcut or find it in your Downloads folder. Run the .exe to extract the installer. Note: it could take several minutes for the extraction to finish, please be patient!

9. When finished, check the Launch the setup program box and click the Close button.

10. If you receive the message that .NET runtime is required, click the Download link provided.

11. Find the .NET Desktop Runtime section for Windows and click the X64 download link. Launch that installer and leave all the defaults options selected.

12. Once .Net is installed, you can retry the ArcGIS installation and launch the software.


13. At the Sign in window, click Your ArcGIS organization URL:

14. Type Stonehill in the field, check Remember this URL, and click Continue. When prompted, sign in with your Stonehill credentials.


You will also use this method to sign into the software if it is running on a lab computer. You can activate the software on up to three different devices. It is a good practice to sign out of the software on a lab computer before closing it to free up your activation limit.
