JMP 17 Setup on Windows

  1. Uninstall any previous version of JMP from within the Control Panel or Windows Settings area.
  2. Download the JMP installer for Windows.You will be prompted to login with your Stonehill username and password to access the zip file containing the JMP installer. 
  3. Right-click and extract the contents of the zipped file you just downloaded. The zipped file will unpack to a new folder.
  4. Inside the new unpacked JMP_WIN folder, right click the install.cmd file and select 'Run as Administrator' to start the installation. Do NOT just run the setup.exe file; you must run the install.cmd file instead. This will launch an installation window with a black background, and begin installing. There is no status bar, but the process should only take a few minutes.
  5. Your computer may warn you about running scripted files or unknown applications. Go ahead and click Yes, Allow, or Run Anyway to any prompts of this nature to indicate that you trust this installation.  If you don't see any of those options, look for the More Info link.  
  6. The program will continue installing in the background and complete after a few minutes. Once finished, the black window will turn green. You may now launch JMP from your desktop or Start menu.

JMP 17 Setup on macOS

  1. Remove any previously installed version of JMP by dragging it to your trash from your Applications folder.
  2. Download the JMP installer for macOS.
  3. You will be prompted to login to campus.stonehill.edu to access the zip file containing the JMP installer. Make sure you type "stonehill\" before your username.
  4. In your "Downloads" folder, double-click the zip file to unpack it.  If prompted, choose Archive Utility to open the zip file.
  5. After a few moments, the file will unpack and you may be prompted to Allow the content to open on your computer.
  6. Inside the unpacked JMP folder, double-click on JMP-Install.dmg, then double-click on JMP Pro.pkg to start the installation. Click Continue to start the Install Wizard.
  7. Leave the default destination folder. Click Continue.
  8. On the "Installation Type" screen, click Install.  If there are any required pre-requisites, allow them to install.  You will be prompted for your Mac admin password. 
  9. Click Close to end the installation.
  10. Launch JMP16.
  11. At the "Provide Your JMP License" window, select the Open License button.
  12. At the "Choose a File" window, navigate to the unpacked JMP folder within your Downloads folder.
  13. Select the JMP txt file within the folder. Then select the Choose button.
  14. At the "Personalize Your JMP License" window, leave the fields blank and click OK.
