When running reports in Cognos, you may be required to provide credentials to log into the PROD data source. You can direct Cognos to store this password in its secure database, thereby reducing the number of times you have to provide credentials.
- Submit your Cognos report normally.
- If the report requires logon to the PROD data source, Cognos will present the Data Source logon screen.
- Provide your credentials for login, being sure to check the box next to Remember my user ID and password when connecting to this data source.
- Click OK
If you are unable to recall your login credentials for the PROD data source, contact the Service Desk to obtain a valid password.
