Selection & Implementation of New Systems

Overview

New systems may be evaluated and implemented to support a business need that cannot be met using features in the standard college wide suite.

Department heads and senior level staff

Features

  • A business need in a department is identified that cannot be met using features in the standard college wide suite.
  • Department staff may meet with meet with an IT leader in the Enterprise Application Services group to discuss the feasibility of a request.
  • Project requests may be submitted between January and March to be evaluated with other technology requests and incorporated into the budget request process.
  • A project team is created for approved requests with staff from the Enterprise Application Services group, the requesting department and other stakeholder groups to evaluate systems.
  • The project manager, working with the team, develops a plan and implements new systems that are acquired

Getting Started

  • Senior level staff submit project requests during the request cycle for a department head who sponsors the request
