Application Security

Overview

Access to Banner, Cognos reports and some departmental information systems is authorized by information custodians and liaisons based on the requestor's job.

Faculty, Staff; Student employees

Features

• Access to Banner forms is provided by module based on job requirements and using templates containing common forms used by job roles.
• The ability to run Cognos reports from Banner data is provided based on job requirements and delivered through folders of common reports used by job roles.
• Access to some departmental systems is provided by IT with appropriate authorization and those systems include: Adirondack Housing Director, Adirondack Parking, 25Live, RAVE, Banner Document Management, Cbord, CCURE, and ID Works
• Access is terminated when employment ends or a job change occurs.
• Note that access to self-service Banner features in myHill, like the employee profile and class lists, are provisioned automatically based on the role of an individual.

Getting Started

• Those requesting application security should review the Stonehill Information Security Policy and Ferpa Guidelines as defined in the Student Education Records section of the College Legal notices section of the current Hillbook .
• Staff and student employees should consult with their supervisor about their need for application security.
• Faculty or staff who need application access should submit the Request Access form for themselves or a student employee.
