Auto-Start in Skype for Business: How to Turn it On or Off

By default, Skype for Business will launch automatically when Windows starts. Follow the instructions below to toggle this setting on or off.

  1. In Skype for Business, click on the gear icon to open the Options window.
  2. Select Personal from the list on the left.
  3. On the right, under My account, there is a checkbox to Automatically start the app when I log into Windows.
    1. Leave the box checked to have the Skype for Business start automatically. 
    2. Uncheck the box to prevent Skype for Business from starting automatically.
  4. Click the OK button.
