Classroom Support

Overview

IT staff are available by appointment to come to classrooms to assist with a variety of activities. Examples include: setting up equipment for lecture capture or video conferencing; training students on the use of eLearn, Office365 or other supported software; providing workshops for students on video and audio editing; and assisting with the use of classroom technology. Our VIPink Shirt program is available at the start of every semester to help with classroom technology needs and provides assistance by appointment.

Features

  • Start-up assistance with software and equipment setup is available for in-class lecture capture or video conferencing 
  • Web cams and microphones can be borrowed for multiple uses of video conferencing or lecture capture
  • Just-in-time support of classroom technology such as Clear Touch displays, document cameras, and HyFlex classroom technology is available between or during classes 
  • Training or workshops for students on supported software or video and audio editing can be delivered in or out of class
  • Guidance with the design and implementation of in-class assessments using eLearn
