Sign In to your Skype for Business Phone, and Sign Out

There are two different options for signing into your Skype for Business phone. Choose the option that's best for you.

* Please note that, while the screenshots are of the 405HD phone model, the sign-in process follows the same steps on the 440HD phones.

PIN Sign In

  • The easiest & fastest method for signing into your Skype for Business phone. 
  • Does not provide access to your Outlook calendar from your phone's LCD screen.

Web Sign In

  • Requires a few more steps for signing into your phone by requiring a one-time web login.
  • Provides access to your Outlook calendar from your phone's LCD screen.

Sign Out

  • How to Sign Out of your Skype for Business Phone.

PIN Sign In

​​Note: If you don't know your PIN, try the default pin of 147258 (if you haven't ever changed it). If you have changed it and don't know it, you can always reset your PIN.
  1. Select Sign In by pressing the Softkey (one of the four buttons without a label on your phone) below where it says Sign in on your LCD screen.

  2. Leave PIN code selected as the first option from the list of Sign-in options, and press the Select Softkey.

  3. On the Sign in screen, the Phone number field will be selected. Use the phones alphanumerical keypad to enter your four-digit Stonehill college extension. Then, use the down arrow on the phones navigation control to select the Pin code field.

  4. With the Pin code field selected, use the phones alphanumerical keypad to enter the Pin code provided by the Information Technology Department. Then, press the Sign in Softkey.

  6. The phones LCD screen will indicate the sign in status with a series of status screens.

  7. When you have successfully signed in, the phone LCD screen will display the date, time, your phone line information, and voicemail status.

Web Sign In

  1. Select Sign In by pressing the Softkey (one of the four buttons without a label on your phone) below where it says Sign in on your LCD screen.

  2. On the Sign-in options screen, use the down arrow on the phones navigation control to select the Web Login option. Then, press the Select Softkey.

  3. On the Web Login screen, the WEB URL listed on your phones LCD screen needs to be entered EXACTLY as it displayed in a new web browser window.

  4. Open up a web browser and enter the WEB URL that is listed on your phones LCD screen EXACTLY as it appears into the address bar and press Enter on your computer keyboard.

  5. The page will display a This site is not secure warning message, and THAT'S OK!

  6. Simply click on the Details link to expand the warning message, and then click on the Go on to the webpage link to continue on to the Web Login page.

  7. On the Web Login page, enter your information into the corresponding fields:

    • Sign-in address: Enter your full Stonehill email address
    • User name: Enter your full Stonehill email address
    • Password: Enter your Stonehill password
       
  8. Then, click the Sign in button.
     
  9. The webpage will refresh and indicate that the sign in process has begun.

  10. The phones LCD screen will indicate the sign in status with a series of status screens.

  11. When you have successfully signed in, the phone LCD screen will display the date, time, your phone line information, voicemail status, and upcoming calendar events.

 

Sign Out

To sign out of your Skype for Business phone:

  1. Select Status by pressing the fourth Softkey (one of the four buttons without a label on your phone) below where it says Status on your LCD screen.
  2. Select Sign out by pressing the third Softkey (one of the four buttons without a label on your phone) below where it says Sign out on your LCD screen.

Your account is no longer signed into the Skype for Business phone.
